Welcome Every Baby Services
Congratulations on the birth of your new baby! In the coming weeks and months as you get to know your new baby, Welcome Every Baby is here to provide the help and support your new family may need. Welcomeverybaby.org is designed to help connect you with additional information and resources to help you do your most important job of all, raising your new baby.
The Welcome Every Baby Program:
Welcome Every Baby Newborn Home Visiting Program is a free community service for all newborns and their families who live in Santa Barbara County. Our professional staff of nurses and infant home visitors is available to visit you in your home and call you between visits to provide help and information. Welcome Every Baby provides:
- A Nurse Home Visit (in partnership with Santa Barbara County Public Health Department and Marian Home Care) soon after your baby is born. The nurse helps with breastfeeding, caring for your newborn and other questions or concerns that you may have
- The Welcome Every Baby Line, a call-line staffed by a child development specialist to answer questions that you may have about caring for your baby and your child’s development in the first 3 years.
- Welcomeverybaby.org, a website focused on raising babies in our county. It includes the Welcome Every Parent Handbook and information on topics most important to you during your baby’s first months
Welcome Every Baby can help you with breastfeeding, caring for your baby and answer questions on how your child is learning and growing. We can help you if you are feeling sad or depressed or have questions or concerns about your well-being or the well-being of your baby. We can also help you connect to other local community services.
